In recent years, a piece I submitted for a "Memories of Meals Past" New York Times Magazine essay contest was a winning entry, and was published in their 2015 Food issue.

I have also developed original content for The Girl Scouts of America: Daisy Handbook, which are distributed nationally to Daisy troop leaders. Content included creating ten original stories to teach the Girl Scouts the values they need in order to become a Daisy, the youngest group of Girl Scouts aged 5-6. At the end of each original story, I created discussions about each story, and ways for the Daisies to practice the values being taught. Here are some sample pages from the handbook:

After the Daisy Handbook was created, I collaborated with other Girl Scout editors to develop the Daisy Volunteer Toolkit, a digital planning tool to provide troop leaders with planning resources and program content. Below are a few screen shots of sample web pages of the toolkit:

Other recent projects include:

  • Copyediting and proofreading 10,000 word chapter books for Capstone Publishing.
